2026 Residential Construction Career (RCC) Day

Residential Construction Career (RCC) Day is a half-day workforce development event connecting Cape Cod students with the professionals who build, design, supply, and support the residential construction industry.

Unlike a traditional job fair, RCC Day introduces high school students  to the many career pathways within the residential construction industry through hands-on experiences and meaningful conversations with industry professionals. Exhibitors are encouraged to go beyond a standard table display by creating an interactive activity or demonstration that gives students a real feel for the work. Whether you're operating equipment, demonstrating tools, showcasing materials, or engaging students in a hands-on project, memorable experiences leave lasting impressions.

Throughout the event, students are encouraged to ask questions, explore different trades, and learn how professionals got started in the industry. Structured activities help ensure every student connects with exhibitors representing a wide variety of career paths. 

While RCC Day is not a job fair, it often creates valuable early connections. Students interested in internships, apprenticeships, summer employment, or future careers can opt in to share their information with participating employers. And some students may in fact be looking for employment now. 

On Cape Cod, where housing availability impacts workforce retention, building relationships with local students early is more important than ever. RCC Day offers a unique opportunity to connect with students while they are still living at home and exploring their future.

At the same time, RCC Day is a chance to give back to the community and strengthen the future of the industry by helping students discover rewarding career paths and envision a future on Cape Cod.
